It’s Easy to Take the Train to the Pirate Rendezvous

For the Pirate Rendezvous, scheduled for Sat., June 11, Maine Eastern Railroad will feature the Eye Patch Express, which will be able to transport guests to and from Brunswick, Wiscasset and Rockland. The Pirate Rendezvous runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the pirates attacking the village at high noon, and the train stops accommodate this schedule well.
The Pirate Rendezvous will have a shuttle to and from the train stop in Newcastle to the event.
Arriving guests for the Pirate Rendezvous departing from Rockland in the morning hours will have a train scheduled to leave there at 7:50 a.m. and arrive in Newcastle at 8:50 a.m.*, then continue to Brunswick.

Guests from Brunswick will have a train scheduled to depart there at 10:20 a.m., arrive and depart Wiscasset at 11:05 a.m., then arrive in Newcastle at 11:15 a.m.* and continue to Rockland.
For guests returning from the Pirate Rendezvous in the afternoon hours a westbound train to Brunswick and Wiscasset will depart from Newcastle at 4:55 p.m.* and an eastbound train will depart from Newcastle at 7:05 p.m.* and continue to Rockland.
“We’re hoping that the public will take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the Pirate Rendezvous using the train, instead of dealing with the hassle of driving and parking,” said Greg Latimer, co-producer of the Pirate Rendezvous. “We’re thankful that Maine Eastern Railroad offered these special one-time runs, and with enough response from the public, perhaps they will become a special part of their seasonal schedule every year,”
